Abroad Bar & Restaurant is a fictional restaurant used as a tool to help gain more experience in layout design and typography. The scope of the project included designing a full menu and a logo to complement. This project use skills and tools in InDesign such as columns, space after, and character styles. Part of the challenge of this design was not using filler copy, all menu items need to be real food options you could eat. As a part of my brainstorming process, I discovered I wanted to incorporate all different kinds of food, I became inspired by the idea of trying new foods when you are traveling. The guests dining in this restaurant would be taken on a culinary journey. I then developed the name Abroad.
